National Flute Convention

Hey friends,

I just received notice that Red Stilettos for Solo Flute is going to be performed at the National Flute Convention in August!  It will be performed by my good friend, who commissioned the piece, Dr. Megan Lanz, and will be part of a concert of Las Vegas Composers.  I wrote this piece a few years ago for Megan and am extremely thrilled that she will be playing it again, and at such a highly respected venue!  If you are around Las Vegas in the beginning of August, stop on by for a listen.  If you’d like a preview of the piece, take a listen on my audio page.

New Art, New Music

Hi all,

I’m currently working on a new piece for String Quartet for the new installation at the Rice Art Gallery.  Violist Dawson White has commissioned this piece to go along with the installation.  The idea of the installation will be “liberating form”, from there, I am creating music.  I recommend you all come take a look and listen on March 17.
